Punjab a
state in India was known as SAPTA SINDHU in ancient India because of 7 rivers
flowing through it. 1. Indus [Sindhu] 2. Jhelum 3. Chenab 4. Ravi 5. Beas
[Vipasha] 6. Sutlej 7. Sharawati. After the division Punjab is half in India
and half in Pakistan. Punjab now means land of five rivers.
